Last night, I met several Upstate-area bloggers at Coffee Underground for a meeting of the Greenville, SC WordPress Group . The organizers were Pamela Wood Browne and Chase Livingston. Pamela runs a private and small-class WordPress coaching service and Chase works for Automattic, the company responsible for WordPress.com–as opposed to WordPress.org. (What’s the difference?)
It was nice to get out, meet new people, and let the extroverted side of my psyche come out and play. Working a graveyard shift for telecom tends to play merry hob with your social skills. I networked a bit, drooled over Chase’s gig at Automattic, and left before I wore out my welcome. Afterward, since it was my night off from familial responsibilities, I walked around downtown a bit then went to Barnes and Noble to have iced coffee and review my projects in Omnifocus.
I’m greatly looking forward to attending another meetup soon. Perhaps my next event will be Tech After Five?
